A: Any writer 13 years or older—NaNoWriMo has a Young Writers Program for authors 18 and younger
4. How do I win NaNoWriMo, and what is the prize?
A: To win NaNoWriMo you must complete 50,000 words of a lengthy work of fiction between 12:00 am, November 1, and 11:59 pm, November 30. As this is primarily an educational experience, and, like everything else these days, smh—no discredit to those with disabilities, everyone’s a winner. You can win badges and participation certificates on the website, but bragging rights and your very own literary creation are the biggest prizes for accomplishing the very daunting task of writing a novel.
